Centre for the Preservation of World Cultural Heritage
The primary mission of the Hornemann Institute is to promote world-wide further education and research in the field of preservation of cultural heritage. It works closely with the HAWK's restoration degree programmes on these core tasks of the HAWK. The institute has a strong international network, but is also very active in the region.

- Students can learn free of charge, independent of location and time, and supported by multimedia, even on topics that are not in our curriculum.
- Our courses assist transfer students in entering the conservation degree programme at HAWK.
- English courses enable training in technical language.
- Possibility of e-publishing abstracts or even full texts with persistent identifiers.
- Publication of students' research results in our publication series
- We take suggestions from students on topics for online courses and events.
- We offer qualified student assistant jobs.
