On 27 April 2026, the next online courses of the Hornemann Institute of the HAWK will start
The courses will run from 27 April until 21 June 2026. Registration will be possible from 14 January until 8 April. After submitting the final test, the participants receive a qualified certificate.
During the duration of the courses, an academic conservator is available at the Hornemann Institute via telephone or email to help with technical and specialist questions. Special technical questions will be forwarded to the authors.
The courses are developed in cooperation with the restoration courses of the HAWK and are used both in teaching and in further education (supervised). They are recognized as continuing education by the Professional Association of Restorers VDR.
From now on, also ECTS credit points will be awarded as part of microcredentials for our online courses. A microcredential is a short academic course that concludes with a digital certificate with ECTS credit points from an accredited university. This allows you to demonstrate to your employers and customers that you have specialist knowledge in a specific subject area.
