• Transnational scientific communication in the field of preservation of cultural heritage, both for students and professionals and for the public through online courses, publication series, conferences, regional events and e-publications
• Promotion of cultural and historical research in the region
• Since 2003 Managing Director of the Association for the Preservation and Preservation of World Cultural Heritage (Verein zur Bewahrung und Erhlatung des Weltkulturerbes e.V.)
• Since 2013 Member of the Board of the Friends of the Egyptian Museum (Freundeskreis Ägyptisches Museum Wilhelm Pelizaeus Hildesheim e.V.)
