What does the study programme deal with?
This new Master’s programme combines core competences from forestry, forest ecology, nature conservation and biodiversity with competences from business administration and engineering and engineering science.
Areas of focus include:
- Multifunctional forest management and innovative forest products
- Robot-assisted technology in forest management
- Evaluation of ecosystem services as a basis for the bioeconomy and the economy for the common good
- Risk management and disaster prevention
- Innovation policy and transformation processes
What can I do after graduation?
As a graduate of this programme, you are likely to be accepted for a traineeship (internship) as a higher forestry officer with the federal states.
Employment opportunities will also be open to you as an expert in the following areas: climate protection, environmental sustainability, risk management, innovative and holistic land use strategies, nature conservation and biodiversity, Natura 2000 and quality management.
What makes the study programme special?
The following subjects are embedded in the curriculum: innovative forest products, use of robotics, risk management and disaster prevention, and transformation processes. The programme brings together the strengths of HAWK Applied Sciences Göttingen.
Courses offered and final dissertations will be closely linked with the new HAWK research focus on green engineering and ecosystems (in German).
