Architectural and spatial works
In the large, professionally equipped metal construction workshop and forge, students can realize metal objects in the context of space and architecture.
Students have the opportunity to learn basic skills as well as to continuously improve their individual knowledge and skills in metalworking. In the process, they receive comprehensive advice and support.
In small groups, basic work techniques from the field of metal trades such as metal construction, industrial mechanics, locksmithing and blacksmithing are taught:
- drilling, sawing, filing, forming, forging
- welding (MIG, MAG, TIG, spot resistance welding, acetylene and oxygen welding)
- Surface treatment
In the further course of study, as a basis of the later design processes can be learned and practiced:
- turning, milling
- NC and CNC machining processes
- Metal casting with aluminum and non-ferrous metals
