Tableware utensils and vessels
In the silversmith's workshop, students can make utensils and vessels from non-ferrous or precious metals. From cutlery to communion cups, from salt shakers to small sculptures.
The tasks can be realized as unique pieces or as prototypes for serial production.
At the beginning of the course, basic working techniques from the field of silversmithing are taught:
- Forging/cold forming, deep drawing and drawing up
- Soldering / Assembly techniques
- CAD-supported mold developments and penetrations
- Making silversmithing special tools
- chemical metal surface treatment
As the course progresses, special techniques can be learned and practiced as the basis of later, individual design processes.
