“Make the most of yourself professionally and apply contents independently: In this Master's programme, you will carry out interdisciplinary projects.”
What is this study programme all about?
The aim of this study programme is to expand your knowledge and skills in two increasingly important areas of civil engineering: energy efficiency and sustainability.
In order to achieve the goals of energy-efficient and sustainable construction, you will learn during your studies how to seamlessly coordinate different areas such as floor plan design or building services and infrastructure. You will look at each aspect individually, but also in context. This means that your studies are interdisciplinary, above all. You will build up and develop your competences in the technical as well as in the business and legal areas. In addition to the compulsory modules, you have the opportunity to expand your studies individually in one of these areas:
- Building management
- Planning and building
- Building services and energy technology
What can I do with it later?
Your skills in the implementation of energy concepts from large-scale projects to single-family homes will be in demand in engineering and architecture offices, in companies as well as in government agencies and associations. You can also become active in project development or develop modernisation strategies for residential and office property portfolios.
What makes this study programme special?
As an expert for energy-efficient, sustainable construction, you will, once you have completed your studies, be part of an industry that deals with the issues of the future.
During the relatively short study period you will be closely supervised by teachers who are themselves experts in practice and pass on their knowledge to you in small learning groups. Joint projects in which you put what you have learned into practice are also an integral part of your studies.
At the same time, through close contact with your fellow students and former students, you will quickly build up your own network, which you can use, for example, to start your career.
