“The Master's programme offers you the opportunity to really go into depth in subject areas that you got to know in the Bachelor's programme - but always with a view to practical application.”
What is this study programme all about?
Electrical engineering and information technology are key technologies for technological progress – as in the current convergence of the internet and industry in the sense of what is known as “Industry 4.0”.
You will deal with the following topics of electrical engineering and information technology and choose either measurement and automation technology or media and engineering informatics as your area of specialisation:
What can I do with it later?
A Master's degree in electrical engineering/information technology will open many doors for you. You could also apply to do a doctorate. The skills you have acquired are needed in almost all sectors of industry.
Many of our students later find themselves in the electrical and electronics industry, in the wireless and telecommunications sector, in mechanical and plant engineering, in the energy industry, in the automotive and aerospace industries, in traffic engineering and control, in medical and microsystems technology as well as in engineering and design offices.
Thanks to interdisciplinary thinking and specialist knowledge, you are ideally qualified to assume management positions in each of these sectors.
What makes this study programme special?
On the basis of electrical and information technology topics, you can decide for yourself how you want to develop your specialisation: In the field of measurement and automation technology, you have a choice of specialisations in the field of sensor and drive technology. In the Media and Communication Systems specialisation, you can choose between audio systems, multimedia or image processing.
In addition to the theory, our high level of application and practical experience is also something special. In preparation for your six-month Master's thesis phase, you will carry out a practice-related Master's project that spans several semesters.
