How we think and work
Well thought-out colour concepts are decisive for the quality of design and architecture tasks. Colour concepts integrate sensual sensations, identify functions and establish cultural connections. Strategic colour concepts are the result of experimental testing, methodical observation and intensive (future) research.
Colour designers identify trends, develop collections, design surfaces and create applied atmospheres.
Colour designers work with applied colour systems, mood boards, colour and trend profiles, colour plans, pattern developments and structures, colour and material collages and empirical future scenarios. Using these tools and visualisation techniques, they develop analogue and digital colour, material and surface concepts with regard to the colourfulness of products, series and collections, as well as urban spaces, facades and interiors. The study of colour design in Hildesheim is unique in Europe and prepares you to master colour as a means of expression and design and to be able to integrate and present formal aesthetic, artistic and scientific-technological factors with cultural aspects.
