ISAP scholarship for a stay in Colombia

Project International Design UPB HAWK 2022-2024

The Faculty of Design at HAWK and the Faculties of Advertising, Graphic Design, Product Design and Fashion Design at our partner university Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia, work together on a joint ISAP project in International Design from July 2022 to September 2024. The project is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).

One of the main ISAP project goals for our partnership is to intensify and ensure a permanent exchange on a professional and personal level and to anchor our joint activities in the regular semester proceedings of each faculty.

Our project ISAP international Design HAWK UPB concentrates on developing and establishing existing agreements, practical bilateral experiences and applied activities in teaching, research and exchange of students and lecturers; all by focusing on an international-global and national-culture specific design education and research.

Our measures focus on transparent and straightforward procedures of recognition (ECTS – Créditos), language preparation and cultural training programmes as well as joint and complementary teaching and research projects in Medellín and Hildesheim and online.

Main ISAP measures:

• Student exchange: scholarships for students from UPB (summer semester 2023 and 2024) and HAWK (winter semester 2023/24)
• Preparation courses: Spanish/German courses, language tandem training, intercultural training
• Guest lectureships at UPB and HAWK
