Committee duties

At its meeting on 10 February 2021, the HAWK Senate adopted a new directive on the establishment of a contact point in accordance with the General Act on Equal Treatment (Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz; AGG) This contact point was established in consultation with the General Students’ Committee (Allgemeiner Studierenden-Ausschuss; AStA), the Equal Opportunities Officer and the Staff Council, in the form of a coordinating committee.

Composition:

  • The committee consists of 5 persons and their respective deputies.
  • Each of the university’s sites is represented by one member. The term of office is 2 years.
  • In fulfilling their duties with regard to complaints management, the members of the coordinating body act independently and in strict confidence.
  • The coordinating committee is a competent body within the meaning of Section 13 (1) of the General Act on Equal Treatment.

It is open to individuals affected by discrimination to seek advice and support from the anti-discrimination committee.
